  1. Nehemiah 6:1-3 1When word came to Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab and the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall and not a gap was left in it–though up to that time I had not set the doors in the gates–

  2. Nehemiah 6:1-3 2Sanballat and Geshem sent me this message: “Come, let us meet together in one of the villages on the plain of Ono.”

  3. Nehemiah 6:1-3 But they were scheming to harm me;3so I sent messengers to them with this reply: “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?”

  14. No protection • No national pride • No sense of “God with us” No walls:

  15. Nehemiah’s conviction: If I don’t get anything else done while I’m here, I’ve got to get the wall built.

  17. Now when it was reported to Sanballat, Tobiah, to Geshem the Arab and to the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall, and that no breach remained in it, although at that time I had not set up the doors in the gates,(Nehemiah 6:1)

  18. then Sanballat and Geshem sent a message to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together at Chephirim in the plain of Ono.” But they were planning to harm me.(Nehemiah 6:2)

  19. I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?”(Nehemiah 6:3)

  21. They sent messages to me four times in this manner, and I answered them in the same way.(Nehemiah 6:4)

  22. Did you know there are things in our life & in my life that if we do not complete them, if we don’t focus on them, if we don’t deal with them they have the potential to ruin our lives as well? If Nehemiah had come off the wall…

  23. Family • Marriage • Future relationship with kids and grandkids • Financially

  24. STAY ON THE LADDDER!

  25. Some of us are facing things right now because we didn’t pay attention to the breach in the wall!

  26. Don’t get Distracted! You are doing a GREAT WORK!

  27. So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of the month Elul, in fifty-two days.(Nehemiah 6:15)

  28. When all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations surrounding us saw it, they lost their confidence; for they recognized that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.(Nehemiah 6:16)

  29. What is your portion of the wall

  30. You will never know what God will do with you, for you and through you until you climb the ladder. The great news about Nehemiah’s story is there are no miracles but clearly the hand of God was at work.

  31. I’m doing a GREAT WORK and I CAN NOT come down. You have no idea what hangs in the balance.
