  2. FETHİYE Fethiye, that is a typicalsea-sidetown, is veryimportantandextraordinarycitywith not onlynatural but alsohistoricalbeauties. Fethiye is arounded Çayağzı theend of the Eşen River on thesouthside, Kapıdağ isle andthe Dalaman city on thewestside, Korkuteli and Elmalı on theeastside, Gölhisar ve Çameli on thenorth-sideand is placedbetweentheEagenandmediterrenianregions. Population can reachtothe 250.000 duringthesummerseasonwhile it is almost 70.000 duringwinter. 5 th WORL WATER FORUM

  3. DrinkingWater Drinkingwater of the Fethiye is suppliedfromthe Ören village Çay gözü regionfrom 38 km away. Flow rate of thewater is nearly 600 Lt/sec. andfeededtothe 600 km. lengthwater service network with 6 differentdistributionstorageunits. Increasing of thecapacitytothe 1000 Lt/Sec has beenplanned in ordertoprovidetherequiredamount of waterwithadditionalwellswith 400 Lt/secflowrate at theÇaygözüregion. There is alsoanotherpotablewatersource / reserv at the Karapınar regionwith 6 differentspringwellswith 252 Lt/sec. flow rate capacity. 5 th WORL WATER FORUM

FETHİYE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT A Waste Water Treatment Plant and Sewage Network construction project, which went into operation in December 2003, has been financed by German Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ) through KfW. The project has been divided into two lots as construction of a new WWTP (Lot 1) with a design load of 110.000 PE and target year of 2013, the main pumping station TM4, and a force main of 2,7 km. Rehabilitation of existing pumping stations TM0, TM1 and TM3, as well as construction of 34,2 km of gravity sewers and 3,9 km of force mains has been executed under Lot2, and was finalized in December 2003, together with Lot 1. We have completed ‘I Phase of Fethiye Sewage Project’ successfully. 5 th WORL WATER FORUM

  6. KfW delegation visited Fethiye Municipality in order to negotiate ‘Regional Fethiye Sewage Project’ in May 2007. KfW has provided a fund which is donation for the feasibility study. The tender of ‘Feasibility Study Sewage Disposal Fethiye II’ was made. • Our Waste Water Treatment Plant has been rewarded with several certificates and prizes. 5 th WORL WATER FORUM
