Regardons la différence… se brosser les dents In this case, you’re not brushing other people’s teeth… you’re brushing your own! Ex. Je me brosse les dents. I myself brush my teeth. brosser les dents In this case, you’d be brushing someone else’s teeth! Ex. Je brosse les dents de mon enfant. I brush my child’s teeth (grande brosse à dents) ;)
To indicate that the verb is reflexive, we need to add REFLEXIVE PRONOUNSbefore the conjugated verb. This refers to the “se” that you see before the verb. The “se” will undergo a transformation based on the subject of the sentence… me nous vous te se se
