Midazolan drip order Using standard Solution Concentration • Order entry: write Midazolan • Procedure option for Midazo- - Select # 2 “Midazolan Hydrocloride IV Drip • Pediatric Dose: select according to guidelines, computer will calculate IV rate according to entered Wt. Children < 10 kg • 1000 mcg/100mLD5W IV @ 1 mcg/kg/hr • 1000 mcg/100mLD5W IV @ 2 mcg/kg/hr • 1000 mcg/100mLD5W IV @ 3 mcg/kg/hr • 1000 mcg/100mLD5W IV @ ___ mcg/kg/hr Children < 25 kg • 500 mcg/100mLD5W IV @ 1 mcg/kg/hr • 500 mcg/100mLD5W IV @ 2 mcg/kg/hr • 500 mcg/100mLD5W IV @ 3 mcg/kg/hr • 500 mcg/100mLD5W IV @ ___ mcg/kg/hr • Write / copy the calculated rate (ml/hr) in the instruction fields • WRITE INDICATIONS • RUN IT IN A SEPARATE IV LINE as much as possible, otherwise check compatibility
