Teacher and education researcher at the Preuss School at UCSD (2004 -present) 4. Curriculum developer and teacher at the Bound Brook High School, NJ (1998-2000) 5. Lecturer of Organic Chemistry at Rutgers University (1995-1997) 6. Associate Professor of Chemistry and Physical Chemistry at the University of Tunis (1982 through 1992)

Doge Fellowship for outstanding teachers in New Jersey • Teaching Credentials in Chemistry and Physics in California as well as Physical Science in New Jersey

  8. Teaching Philosophy • Learning is a stimulating adventure. • Education and knowledge are keys to self-empowerment. • All students can learn if properly instructed. • My job is to provide all the tools necessary, to help my students learn. • My job is to prepare my students for Chem200.

  9. Promoting Students Success • I set, clear, consistent, high expectations. • I provide academic support. Teaching Strategies • Short lectures, some demos and more time spent on guided practice. • Daily warm up questions (Reviewing previous lesson and/or homework problems). • Weekly homework assignment to reinforce recall and understanding. • Frequent and short quizzes to give quick feedback and adjust teaching as needed. • Encourage students to use office hours, work in groups and communicate with me and each other via e-mail.

  11. Add, Drop or Withdraw It is the student’s responsibility to add, drop, or withdraw from classes before the deadlines stated in the class schedule. Important Dates: Feb 15. Deadline to drop classes with no “W” recorded. Feb 20 Last day to drop and be eligible for refund of enrollement fees Mar 12 Last day to file a petition for Credit/No Credit grade option Apr 23 Withdrawal deadline- No drops accepted after this date.
