PAC = • Product Advisory Council • PeopleSoft • Strategic • 10-12 members • 3 year times (staggered) • Nominated to and approved by PeopleSoft PAG = • Product Advisory Group • HEUG • Tactical • 6 members • 3 year terms (staggered) • Nominated to and approved by HEUG CR PAG HEUG - Dallas, Texas

PAG Does What? • Focus: Enhancement Requests made by institutions • Last year: collected issues, grouped, ranked and prioritized • This year: decided to tackle the top 13 priorities • These 13 comprised a total of 25 issues • Began assembling “specs” to give to PeopleSoft • Fondly referred to these specs as “White Papers” CR PAG HEUG - Dallas, Texas

  7. “White Papers” • Involvements enhancements (drop-down, row counts, effective dating) • Work Experience (retired flag, effective dating, job title) • Legacy Degree table enhancements • Org Search enhancements • Geo-coding • Foundation Profile • Auto-pledge write-off • Searching Capabilities- CR Search and general search dialog boxes • Address linkage enhancements • Spouse Ring enhancements • Notes fields for gifts and gift types • Lengthen Designation Fund Name field • Person/Org single table population CR PAG HEUG - Dallas, Texas

  8. What is Next? • Finish these 13 • Circulate amongst PAG institutions • Distribute to CR list serve • Turnover to HEUG (and PeopleSoft!) • Collect more and reorganized with a focus on 8.0… start all over again! CR PAG HEUG - Dallas, Texas

How do we Enhance? • Several input mechanisms that PeopleSoft takes into consideration when evaluating an enhancement request. • PAG and PAC (for long-term strategy) • Other Customers (for example, calls to the GSC) • Marketplace • What Sales Force is hearing and what is heard at conferences • National Trends (ex: news articles on need for fundraisers to be accountable...) • PeopleSoft Corporate Initiatives (CEO said 8.0 must be 100% internet) • Industry Analysts (such as Gartner and Eduventures) • We influence only part of it!
