Integrity Values (beliefs) = Behaviors (actions)
SAMHSA Recovery Values SAMHSA 10 Guiding Principles of Recovery (Updated in 2011 )
Three Steps to Recovery-Based Ethical Decisions Step 1: Could this action result in a risk of harm to self or others? (Does it pass the evening news test?) Step 2: Do the recovery principles offer guidance about this action? Step 3: Are there any policies, practice standards, or laws that apply to this action? If so, are they consistent with the spirit of human rights and recovery?
