WINTER FESTIVALS Italians celebrate the following winter celebrations: Christmas (the 25th of December) New Year’s Eve (the 31st of January) Befana - a good witch (the 6th of January) Carnival - (40 days before Easter - in February or March) For all of them we have typical food, beveragesand traditions!

  4. Christmas cakes I dolci di Natale

  5. At Christmas we eat two typical Italian cakes: pandoro and panettone! A Natale si mangiano due tipici dolci italiani: il pandoro ed il panettone!

  6. Pandoro symbolizes Christmas like few other cakes: it even looks Christmassy, a craggy mountain topped with snow-white confectioners sugar. Il pandoro simbolizza il Natale come pochi altri dolci: anche la sua forma è natalizia, un’alta montagna coperta da dolcissima neve di zucchero.
