In the class rooms Sarah?s presentation on the fossils she collected during her summer vacations Students presented their holiday homework in class Students learned about reflection of sound waves and conservation of linear momentum with the help of an activity in the Science park at Ardee Field visit to an ATM Students of the secondary classes went for a field visit to a Citibank ATM to gain knowledge about its detailed working including the security measures while operating it. It was a wonderful practical learning experience for the students who explored the different input and output devices at the ATM. The students enjoyed the interactive session with their IT mentors.
World Study at a glance- ?The Leader in me? Nelson Mandela Students presented interesting facts on ?Nelson Mandela?s life Parent Professor for the day The ?Parent Professor for the day? for the month of July was Mr. Parag Nahar, who spoke to the students about the leadership qualities of an entrepreneur. MUN( Mock) session @ Ardee A mock MUN session was conducted by the students of AS and A level who are all set to participate in the Model United Nations conference at Global Indian International School, Pune from July 21-23, 2017. Students are encouraged to participate in such events as they give students hands on experience to debate on topics based on international issues. Our Ardee contingent all set to debate as part of their respective committees by setting forth their opinions, today
Africa Day celebrations The Ardeeians gathered to celebrate two special occasions on 18th July, one was the birthday of the iconic leader Nelson Mandela and second was the celebration of the Africa Day. A special World Study was organised in two parts which began with students shouting slogans representing the pre-?Apartheid? period and the compere of the day, Samridhi Negi telling the students about life during that time and Nelson Mandela?s role. Post this a speech was given by Rudraksh Sharma, posing as Nelson Mandela appealing to the people of South Africa to support him in his cause against Apartheid. The second part of the World Study represented the post Apartheid period with Abhijay Kumar as Frederik William De Klerk announcing the release of Nelson Mandela from prison and the end of racial discrimination. Students adorned colorful head dresses and bead necklaces, they performed the famous ? gum boot? dance. The World Study ended with the rendition of the African National anthem. The highlight of the event was also the announcement of the new Head Girl of the school – Samridhi Negi.
