Schedule – Day 6 • COOL FACTS: • Also called Snowy Egret • While feeding in shallow areas of ponds and marshes, Snowy Egrets use one foot to stir up the bottom, flushing prey into view. • Snowy egrets breed once a year, and females lay three to five greenish blue eggs that hatch in three to four weeks Snowy heron

  4. OKAY FOR NOW Vietnam War The Vietnam War was a Cold War-era military conflict that occurred in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955 to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. The U.S. government viewed involvement in the war as a way to prevent a communist takeover of South Vietnam as part of their wider strategy of containment. American involvement in the war peaked in 1968 and ended on August 15, 1973.

  5. OKAY FOR NOW Vietnam War As the 1960s progressed, widespread tensions developed in American society that tended to flow along generational lines regarding the war in Vietnam, race relations, women's rights, traditional modes of authority, and differing interpretations of the American Dream.
