MODEL SHOP REPORTS • Purpose • Reduce the cost of P2 Opportunity Assessments • Provide enough information to conduct P2 opportunity assessments with in-house personnel • Reduce the cost of doing OAs by contract • Identify typical pollution reduction opportunities for specific shops/processes • Catalog of Pollution Prevention Opportunities • Guide one through the OA process
MODEL SHOP REPORTS • Background • E.O. 12856 mandated all bases conduct PPOAs • Similar opportunities identified at different bases with different missions • “Reinventing the wheel” at each base • Duplication of effort • Develop summary of available opportunities already identified
