  1. 1. 8020 Data Company Customer Interview

  2. 2. Purpose and Quick Check The purpose of this interview is to determine whether 8020 can provide a useful service to you. Let’s explore the following areas: • When do you want this project in production and ready for use? • Are you prepared to commit your resources for the analysis, testing and user help that are required to be a success? • If a customer generated problem threatens success, how will it be handled? Such as: non-cooperation of IT or failure to test, etc. • Everyone on your project team really wants this project to be successful. Right?

  3. 3. Our Service Online Databases We deliver: A fully functional web based system that includes the essential requirements and it is built for a fixed price and delivered in a short time frame that run on secure Microsoft web and database servers. This requires: Your agreement on a fixed set of deliverables with fixed descriptions. Such as the number of data entry forms, number of reports and number of items of information to be collected and distributed. • Can you see your project being delivered in weeks for a fixed price with your agreement on scope prior to starting? Visit : http://8020data.com/workingprototypes.asp for more details.

  4. 4. Out of Scope Issues In every project there is always something that everyone forgot. Traditionally if it needs to be added to the Statement of Work (SOW), it needs a change order, approvals and recalculation of the price. This is referred to as “scope creep”. Since our projects are for a fixed price and fixed time and fixed scope, 8020 handles these discoveries by creating new SOW's that are negotiated and contracted separately from any other SOW. • Is this method for handling out of scope issues satisfactory to you?

  5. 5. Security Issues Web based database applications require significant attention to security issues. 8020 has expertise in all required areas. Visit http://fido.gov to see our systems for the government. • Hardening of web and database servers to prevent security breaches. We use server level configurations that do not need external network security measures. These configurations comply with National Security Agency, National Institute of Standards and Technology and Department of Defense C2 recommendations. • Application level security to prevent unauthorized access to data. We provide email/password security to all parts of the application. Your staff will maintain permissions for each authorized user. This access is unrelated to any operating system security, which allows the application to be easily moved to new equipment and eliminates the need for account maintenance by an IT administrator. • Is this level of security is adequate for your project?

  6. 6. How We Work with You in 8 Steps The people that will work for you on the 8020 team will be selected by the 8020 project manager. He will determine the skills match for your required tasks. He can choose from 25 senior level database professionals, who have demonstrated success for government and private clients. For bios and projects, please visit: http://iodd.com/rptmemberbio.asp and http://iodd.com/rptmemberprojectslist.asp. Note: All projects will be initially designed and built iteratively on 8020 equipment and will be accessible from the Internet. Once finalized the project will be installed and tested on the final destination. Step 1. Prepare SOW and create financial relationship. PO contract etc. Step 2. Locate emails of all users and classify their access. Step 3. Design and create the database in Microsoft SQL Server and load user info and any other customer or sample data. Step 4.
