Measurement • The process or the result of determining the ratio of a physical quantity, such as a length, time, temperature etc.
Table Partner Work • Figure out the length and width of the table using your hand(s) • Figure out the length and width of the table using the piece of string in the envelope
Indirect Measurement • A technique that uses proportions to find a measurement when direct measurement is not possible.
Indirect Devices • Device used to determine measurement and then transferred to a ruler or scale • String, foot, hand

Direct Measurement • A process of obtaining the measurement of some entity by reading a measuring tool
