For whom? • To evaluate whether the Constitution and other founding documents set up a government that protects or restricts democracy for the individual. For whom? • To evaluate how the Constitution and other founding documents envision the balance between the individual and the collective. • Schedule: • Discussion • Reflections on Discussion Homework: Consult unit schedule. No modifications to assignments at this time. Reminder: * Constitution Test next week (Tan - Wed, Red & Blue - Thurs) * HW will be collected on day of test.

  2. Getting Set Up: • Turn in your self-assessment from last class. • Put your name on a rubric for me to use. • Make sure you have a rubric for your peer assessment. • Make sure you have a self-reflection questions and rubric for yourself.

  3. Plan for Today: Fishbowl Discussions • We will have a 40 minute discussion in fishbowl groups • You will discuss one of our essential questions with your group • You will receive feedback from 3 sources: • Me: I will give comments using the rubric • Peer: You will each be given a partner to whom you are responsible for giving feedback using the rubric and through general comments. Today, you will want to comment on your partner both throughout class and at the end. • Self: You will complete a series of reflection questions at the end of the discussion • We will take the last 10-15 minutes of class for you to complete your peer and self assessments • Put your completed self-assessment in your folder and your completed peer assessment in your partner’s folder • Review the comments and think about how you can improve for next class!
