As soon as the announcements hit in, the realty sector entered into a hot debate in whether buying a house would be a smart move or not in this volatile scenario. Whether, we would be able to reap the profit out of our current house or not. Has our investment gone into total vain? The answer to all these questions is, “Just sit back and relax.” I will explain in a bit why. Real Estate has always been considered synonymous with the black money as maximum cash transactions happen in this sector. Well! This is just a 5% of actual truth.
I am not denying the fact that the real estate sector would not be affected at all. But much of the heat would remain to the secondary sales market where cash components have traditionally seen a veritable must. Those who are buying primary property directly from the realtor would not be affected in either manner. In fact those of you who have been meaning to buy their dream house for a long time but could not dare to apply for such a huge loan, now is the perfect time for it. The Demonetization move has created a beautiful circle all in favour of common man who can now easily buy a 2 BHK Flat in Bhiwadi or anywhere at lower prices because the market rate of flats would slash causing an upsurge in demand.
So first advantage is now flats would be available in abundance thereby matching the demands of the surging market. Second, with such huge inflow of cash in the banks (on the scale of lacs of crore), Banks would now have money to provide home loans to more people at a lower interest rate. A win-win for everyone. With black money suddenly wiped out of the system, a lot of investors who were investing in projects with black money thereby raising the overall prices would now be eliminated from the system, thereby making room for the common man who can finally afford a house of his dreams. The Demonetization move has come as a breath of fresh air thereby rejuvenating the hope of every person to live in a dream house of his own.
