  2. In the world of sports, only the best rise victorious. Arjun Muralidharan is one such victor who took his country to great heights on the global stage of swimming. His swimming potential was paramount and under the guidance of his father G Muralidharan, a nine-year-old Arjun broke the age group national record in the 50m butterfly with a time stamp of 34.60 secs. This record has not been broken to date which goes to show Muralidharan’s pure talent. This was the start of a tremendous sports trajectory that saw countless accolades and medals. Arjun Muralidharan swimmer went on to win 15 National titles in his career including several national records.

In 2000, he was crowned the best swimmer in the 17th Sub-Junior Aquatics Championships with 5 gold medals. Designated as one of the best Indian Butterfly swimmers, Arjun held all three National titles in 50m, 100m, and 200m butterfly for four years from the year 2004 to 2007. Consecutively, he also won three Open National Championships from the year 2004 to 2006. It is noteworthy that Arjun Muralidharan is the first Indian swimmer to clinch a gold medal in an international event ‘Speedo Eastern Canadian Championships’ in 2006.

Building Bluewater Sports Academy: Arjun Muralidharan Swimmer’s Vision After enjoying several years as a swimming savant, Arjun Muralidharan swimmer has been gearing up to help aspiring swimmers in the country achieve their potential. He is the director of the well-known Bluewater Sports Academy which offers growth-focused coaching in numerous athletic avenues. As mentioned, Arjun was coached by his father G Muralidharan, an Indian Navy Commander and a former Ranji Trophy athlete. Both the father-son duo have taken their sports passion into building Bluewater Sports Academy to provide all aspiring athletes in India, especially swimmers, a strong and global base to develop their talent under experienced guidance.
