  2. Leadership Competencies • Envision a better future • Accurately assess present reality • Not just tolerating, but actually drawing energy from the difference in order to drive change (without compromising the long term vision or denying present reality)

Affected People without Complications (undiagnosed, asymptomatic) Affected People with Complications Safer Healthier People Vulnerable People Healthcare Delivery System Public Health Network Disease Care Health Protection: Health Promotion, Prevention, and Preparedness

  9. Use the difference to drive change Leadership development, the usual suspects? • Mentoring, apprenticeship, • Risk taking - Willingness to lose/relocate (live within your means, be able to survive 6-9 months unemployment) • Communication - Storytelling
