MLA Style Formatting • Why is It important? • MLA (Modern Language Association) style is most commonly used to write papers and cite sources within the liberal arts and humanities. • It will protect you from Plagiarizing! • You’ll most likely use it throughout your college career. • One more piece of knowledge you get to take with you after this class if over 

  3. Formatting Essays • Do not make Title page for your paper unless specifically requested. • In Upper Left-Hand Corner: • Name • Instructor • Course • Date * Double space * Create Header in Upper Right Hand Corner, number pages after 1st page.

  5. Research MLA Page • Annotated Bibliography (works cited page): • An annotation is a summary and/or evaluation. Therefore an annotated bibliography includes a summary or evaluation of each of the sources. • Pick 2-3 sources that are relevant to create your script or help with the research for your film. (example if you are doing a beach clean up PSA, you might want to look up the kinds of equipment they use to clean up beaches, or look up the Surfrider website, etc).
