SHHHHH! THE CONCERT IS ABOUT TO BEGIN Appropriate audience behavior
The most important reason we attend concerts is to watch and listen to the performers. The following suggestions can help audience members show respect to the performers and the audience members.
TALKING IS NOT TOLERATED! • Talking distracts the performers and audience members • The best time to talk would be during an applause or intermission
Arrive on Time To arrive early is to be on time, to arrive on time is to be late…..
NOISES • Cell phones, pagers, and watch alarms should be turned off before the concert begins. • Avoid rustling your program • Do not fidget in your seat
Applause Do I always clap when the music stops?
The best time to clap is when the performance is completely over. Sometimes longer pieces of music have “movements” that are labeled according to their tempo like allegro or adagio. You do not clap in between the movements.
When the performance is over, clap loudly to show the performers how much you appreciate their hard work!!
THE END See you at the concert!!
