Introduction Let me guess what you know about Ukraine so far: • ORANGE REVOLUTION • you probably know about it if you watch news • KLICHKO BROTHERS and ANDREY SHEVCHENKO • you probably know about them if you are either box or soccer lover • CHERNOBYL CATASTROPHE • you probably know about it if you are from our Solar System Well, if you know these three points, that’s not bed for the beginning. Government Ukraine is a sovereign and independent, democratic social state. The President who is directly elected is the head of state and the Prime Minister is the head of government. Territory Ukraine is located in southeastern Europe, bordering the Black Sea. Ukraine is situated between 44"20' and 52"20' north latitude, and 22"5' and 41"15' east longitude. Ukraine is is bound by Belarus to the north, Russia to the north and east, the Black Sea to the south, Moldova and Romania to the southwest as well as Poland, Hungary and Slovakia to the west.
