Wattle and daub Wattle and daub was a method used by the Celts to build their houses. First stakes were firmly placed in the ground. Branches called wattles were then woven in and out of the stakes. Finally, the branches were covered in mud. This was called wattle and daub.

festivals The Celts celebrated four festivals each year. The two most important festivals were SAMHAIN: Samhain was the celtic new year, celebrated on the 1st of november. It marked the end of the grazing season and of the summer. It was a time of magic!
