Holy Quran: Surah Al-Imran: Verse 191 • For an Investment of $2300 per Household • Annual Proceeds from sale of milk, fertilizer and calves $1575. • 585m3 of Bio-Gas produced annually. • 2190 liters of milk. • 915 Kg of organic fertilizer with significant plant nutrients (NPK). • Annual savings on firewood over 1.5 tonnes. • Reduction in Green House Gas (GHG) emissions per year by 2.5 tonnes. • Full repayment of Principle and 1% Service Charge in 6 years with 1 year grace. • There are 4 million rural households in Bangladesh with the capacity to undertake a Bio Gas Dairy project. • Clean Energy • Reduced deforestation • Reduced emission of Green House Gases (GHG) • Less indoor pollution • Scope for expanding to human waste management • Women Empowerment • Daily cash income • Women’s labor for income enhancement • Greater role in household decision-making • Health & Nutrition • Contribution to milk and meat supply • Nutritious fish feed • Enhanced soil quality from use of organic fertilizer
