  2. Here are a few facts about me... Married to Keith Baldessari for 28 years 2 children:  Sarah (Senior at Cornell University) Matt (Freshman at Westmont College, Santa Barbara CA) Golden Retriever: Sandy

  3. Education: Hudson High School, Denison University Hofstra University, Cleveland State University (BS-Chemistry, MBA-Finance, MA-Ed.) I play the harp. • I enjoy attending all of my children's sports events, music recitals, and other activities. • I love entertaining and decorating our home for the holidays. • I love to travel and enjoy boating, and snow skiing. • I love the beach!!! And, I am an avid shark tooth collector.

  4. What is Honors Chemistry? • Lab based college preparatory class • Prepares students for AP Chemistry

  5. What does taking the AP exam and doing well mean to me? Financial Benefit At Miami University* in Oxford Ohio: • Acceptable score 3 to 5 • Score of 3 earns credit for CHM 111 including lab (4 hours). Worth $845.40 for an in-state student • Score of 4 or 5 earns credit for CHM 141, 142, 144, and 145 (10 hours). Worth $2,113.50 *Similar benefits but different pricing at other state schools.

  6. What does taking the AP exam and doing well mean to me? Benefit at Ivy League and other private schools: • Make your freshman year easier • Level the playing field (your peers will have all taken lots of AP courses) • Acceptable scores 4 or 5 • Impress College Admission Counselors • Develop College-Level Academic Skills • Save Money/Time – graduate sooner • Choose a Major Sooner/register earlier • Take More Elective Classes in College • Add a Minor or Second Major More Easily
