  3. Discussion What can affect who wins the world cup? What factors are involved in it?

  4. Some Factors... • Number of goals scored in the past year for the team • What are the players worth • How many teams are in the country • What is the population size • Number of green areas • Amount of money in the country • Age of players How could these factors affect how well a team does?

  5. Task • Decide on a group of 2 or 3 • Each team is going to pick a team in the world cup (use cards) at random from the teacher. • This is the country who you are going to work for

  6. Now you have your team... • It will be your job to represent your country and using statistics show why your team is going to win the world cup. • Think about what diagrams and averages you have previously looked at and how you can make your data misleading. • You must present your findings to the rest of the class.
