Meaning… Management :- The process of coordinating work activities so that they are completed efficiently and effectively with and through other people

Roles… Specifically there are three category of roles :- • Interpersonal • Informational • Decisional
Interpersonal The role includes people and duties. Improved performance and better working relationships is an essential skill in management. Helps in dealing and working with difficult people.
Informational A manager plays an important role as coordinating the top level to lower level and the organization to the outside public. It includes :- Receipt role Disseminator role Spokes person role
Decisional Manager plays a very important and active part and here the manager is taking full responsibility to manage and decide the things. Involve important decisions :- Entrepreneurial role Disturbance handler Resource allocator Negotiator role
Skills… Skills can be divided in three parts :- • Technical • Human • Conceptual
Technical skills Technical skill includes knowledge and proficiency in a certain specialized field. This skill is mostly needed by the non-managers. The production level staff should be specialized in it nor the line managers.
Human skills Human skills is needed at all levels of management . A manager must be able to work well with the other peoples both individually or in a group.
Conceptual skills It is the most important skill as it differentiates the managers. The ability to think and to conceptualize about abstract and difficult situations. It helps in evaluating complex situations and in decision making. Even if any contingency occurs then conceptual skills helps a lot.
