Task 3: Finding Meaning ON YOUR POSTER ADD THE FOLLOWING: • A) The condition of the FREE man. • How he will feel as he finds the real world / the blinding sun / what will he reflect on? Will he go back? • B) The condition of the Prisoners. • How they may react if the escaped prisoner returns to tell them about their enslavement. • C) The Puppet Masters. • Why do they do this? Task 2 of 3: Your own Cave So, Plato says the Prisoner can escape the CAVE (his ignorance) by using his REASON… He can then try to see the world AS IT REALLY IS… not the way he thinks / accepts it is… In your Groups: cREate a Role Playwhere a character/s moves from a situation of IGNORANCE (NOT KNOWING/OPINIONS) to a situation of BETTER / FULL KNOWLEDGE… (Your own CAVE idea!) Show how his/her/their emotions change… Show what the character/s may do with their new power! Peer Assess our performances…
