Simultaneously, they are learning complex literacy skills by applying the substantive content in case studies crafted to model real world situations.

Course Distribution • 3 ways to access online training courses: • Learning Management System (LMS) • Client Hosting • Stand-Alone Courses
Learning Management System • This choice provides access to the training courses through the Civil Survival Online Learning Management System (LMS) • Note: This choice requires Internet access.
Client Hosting • For this choice, the client can host the online training courses on their own internal LMS. • If you choose to host our training content on your internal web platform, Civil Survival Online will generate an HTML package that can be unzipped to run in your hosting environment. • Note: If you have no Internet access, the courses will be displayed without media asset (images, ideas, audios) and in text only.*
Stand-Alone Courses • With this option, the Client can download the courses without LMS tracking features. • When working “offline,” without access to the Internet, the course will load as text.
Statistics • The National Center for Educational Statistics concludes that Incorporating documents and teaching that requires synthesizing information is necessary to improve literacy. • Giving transitioning offenders the opportunity to practice using, reading and understanding the documents and real-life situations will provide experience and, ultimately, confidence to interact in society.
