(INB 20) Example: 987.6 dekaliters = _____ milliliters • Find the first “unit” on your sentence strip (daL) • Find the units you’re trying to find on the sentence strip (mL) • Count the number of spaces to get from #1 to #2 (4 to the right) • Move the decimal place the same direction and number in #3 (4 to the right) • 987.6 becomes 9876000 • Therefore, 987.6 dekaliters = 9,876,000 milliliters
