1. Janet F. Kitz is an authority on the Halifax Explosion and the author of two books on this historic event. Shattered City: the Halifax Explosion and the Road to Recovery and Survivors. Children of the Halifax Explosion, both published by Nimbus Publishing. During her years of research on the topic she has collected images and developed several slide shows for presentations at museums and other public appearances. This PowerPoint presentation was created from Janet's school slide presentation. Included is a copy of the commentary Janet uses during her lectures.
