Pay. The median wage of accountants and auditors was $61,690 in May 2010. The lowest ten percent earned less than $38,940 the top ten percent earned more than $106,880.
Job outlook Employment of accountants is expected to grow 16 percent from 2010 to 2020, about as fast as the average for all occupations.
How accountants use math. They use their math skills in recording or tallying their clients incomes and expenses . They will need them for taxes and payroll . They need to be able to gather and analyze past, present and future math numbers for all areas of their clients lives and businesses.
