Erasmus Mundus Programme Action 2 • It is a programmefunded by the European Commission complementary to other higher education initiatives of the European Union (Edulink, Tempus…) • It finances partnerships for student and staff mobility between Europe and “Third Countries” grouped in geographical lots. • It is a cooperation and mobility scheme at 5 levels: Undergraduates, Master, Doctorate, Post-doc, Academic staff.

  3. A Specific Geographical area targeted • Lot 5 countries : Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine. • A geographicalinterest for the area locatedbetween Black Sea and CaspianSea (South Caucasus and Ukraine). • A wide EU consortium with 8 universitiescomingfrom 8 EU countries.

  8. Project Duration • The projectbegan on July 15th 2012 and will end on July 14th 2016 • 4 Yearsduration • Twocohorts(twoselectioncommittees) • MobilitywillstartfromJune to 31st December 2013: any long-term mobility must start in that period;

  9. Target group 1 (Lot 5 – 2ndcohort) • TG1 :Registered students, academic and administrative staff from the Lot 5 universities • 77 TG1 (lot 5) scholarships foreseen • All levels of mobility

  10. Target group 2 (Lot 5 – 2ndcohort) • TG2: Nationals of the Lot 5 countries involved, who are registered/work or habe been graduated in a HEI of these countries that is not included in the partnership • 36 TG2 (lot 5) scholarships foreseen • All levels of mobility

  11. Target group 3 (Lot 5 – 2ndcohort) • TG3: Nationals of the Lot 5 countries involved who are in particularly vulnerable situations, for economic, social and political reasons • 11 TG3 (lot 5) scholarships foreseen • Levels of mobility : Undergraduate / Master / Doctorate

Mobilityrules • Target Group 1 students have to beregistered in their home universityduringtheirmobility • Target Group 2 studentsselected for Mobility exchange have to beregistered in their home universityduringtheirmobility • Target Group 2 studentsselected for a Full degreedon’t have to beregistered in a home insitution • Target Group 3 students have to include in their application a certificateprovingtheirstatus

  13. MobilityDuration • Mobilitydurationdepends of the Mobilitylevel • Undergraduate: 6/10 and 22 months (only for TG3) • Master: 10 and 22 months (only for TG2 and TG3) • Doctorate: 12 and 22 months (for all the TG) • Post-doctorate: 6 months • Staff: 1 and 2 months

  14. MonthlyAllowance The monthly allowance varies depending on the level of mobility. • Undergraduate: 1.000 euro/month • Master: 1.000 euro/month • Doctorate: 1.500 euro/month • Post-doctorate: 1.800 euro/month • Academic & Administrative Staff: 2.500 euro/month

Required documents ( all applicants) • A copy of the relevant pages of the passport or National ID card • A Curriculum Vitae • The candidate’s motivation for the chosen programme: sent in the application form • Academic records, relevant diplomas, publications • Language certificates (only if required by Host University)

  18. Required documents (with TG) • Only for TG1 and TG2 (if Mobility exchange): • “Proof of registration”, document proving the registration/affiliation to a Eastern Europe University • Only for TG3: •  Proof of « special conditions »

  19. Required documents (and mobility) • Only for Phd/Postdocs/Staff: • Doctorate/Post-doc/Staff Research Plan signed and stamped by the host laboratory (Template to be uploaded on the website) • List of publications of work
