  3. Examples • The crisis in Spain is a prime example of the overall crisis in Europe. One of the principal countries in the Eurozone affected, its success in defeating the crisis could well predict the success of the rest of Europe in overcoming this financial disaster.

  4. Warning! • Not all near synonyms have the same meaning: • Kid • Child • Kid is much more informal than child. • Words that go together • We have a huge problem. • That’s a huge number. • That’s a large number. • That’s a large problem.
