  2. The award memorializes David Sinclair, one of aerosol science’s great innovators, known for his knowledge, ingenuity and energy. The David Sinclair Award“recognizes sustained excellence in aerosol research and technology by an established scientist still active in his/her career. The individual’s research must have a lasting impact in aerosol science”.

  3. 2013 Recipient of the David Sinclair Award • Pratim Biswas • Washington University in St. Louis • PhD, California Institute of Technology, 1985 • The Lucy and Stanley Lopata Professor and Chair, Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering, Washington University, St. Louis; Director, McDonnell Academy Global Energy and Environmental Partnership, Past President of AAAR (2006-2007) • Author of more than 230 peer-reviewed journal papers and six patents • Fellow of AAAR (2010); Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, (2011); AAAR Whitby Award (1991) among many other honors • “His passion toward aerosol science and technology is infectious.” • “…a meticulous researcher with broad knowledge on a variety of topics” • “Pratim’s work is always path breaking, at the forefront, leading the way.”
