COLORADO STANDARDS ·Develop spatial understanding, perspectives, and personal connections to the world. Concepts and Skills students Master ·Use several types of geographic tools to answer questions about the geography of Colorado. Students Can: ·Answer questions about Colorado regions using maps and other geographic tools. ·Use geographic grids to locate places on maps and images to answer questions. ·Create and investigate geographic questions about Colorado in relation to other places. ·Illustrate, using geographic tools, how places in Colorado have changed and developed over time due to human activity. ·Describe similarities and differences between the physical geography of Colorado and its neighboring states.

Colorado Biome Activity Objectives: Students will be able to know and understand each biome and give examples of each. Where each biome is located within Colorado and if they affect each other. Directions: Create a diorama of a biome of your choice including an animal(s) of that biome and the define the characteristics of that biome. Presentations: After you have finished your diorama, give a 3-5 minute presentation of the biome that you chose.
