Overview • Source • Theme: Collegiate basketball • Summary: The robot must follow three lines that have different shooting points and line shape and then fire a dart from the shooting point at a target. Winners will be decided by number of points earned by completing goals and completion time. The highest scoring robots will be both speedy and precise.

Robot • Must fit into 1’x1’x2’ (L W H) space • Must be able to cover a 3”x 3” area • Allowed to carry only 3 darts loaded at the beginning of each round • Must comply with a remote start • - Start signal is the illumination of a 3 by 3 grid of green LEDs embedded below the starting location • No communication allowed
Restrictions • No chemical propellants • No pressure above 50psi • Must qualify to compete by moving from the starting position on the main line for 1 ft • All robots are held “up front” at the beginning of each heat---there are 3 heats • The robot must go to the shooting blocks in order of their distance from the starting box
Scoring • 25 pts if the robot moves at all • 50 pts for the first correct stop on each shooting block • - Must cover the shooting block for 3 or more sec • 300 pts for the first shot from each correct shooting block that makes it through the hoop • 25 pts if the robot stops at the end of the main line before time is up • 1 bonus pt for each sec left in the heat after the bot has made at least 1 successful shot and is stopped at the end of the main line
