Develop and establish Strategic Corporate Partnerships to further develop Guide Right programs in collaboration with our philanthropic arm, Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation, Inc.
The Guide Right is a program for the educational and occupational guidance of youth, primarily inspirational and informational in character. Guide Right reach extends to elementary school, middle school, high school and colleges and universities alike. In the latter, giving due attention to the needs of undergraduate Brothers.
There are five components of the Guide Right Program

The purpose of the Kappa League is to develop the growth and development of high school young men in every phase of human endeavor
In addition, the Kappa League prepares these young men to be a contributor to society.
There are four Kappa League Awards
The Leon W. Stewart Award for the most outstanding individual Kappa League participant
The Bert V. Wadkins Award for the most outstanding Kappa Brother, who is the Director of a Kappa League Club
The Jay Crosby Award for the most outstanding Kappa League Club
The Mel Davis Award for the most outstanding undergraduate Guide Right Advisor
Applications, Rules, Submission Deadlines, and Competition location will be posted on the Southern Province Website.
These awards are given during Grand Chapter Meeting Years (Minneapolis, MN – July 2007)

The Student of the Year Competition
There are two divisions of the Competition
Male Senior High School Students - Sponsored by Alumni Chapters
Undergraduate Brothers - Sponsored by individual Undergraduate Chapters
Competition is held at the Southern Province Meeting in Jacksonville, FL on March 31, 2007 with the winners participating in the National Competition during the Grand Chapter Meeting (Minneapolis, MN – July 2007)
The six categories that are used to the judge participants are as follows:
scholarship, talent, community involvement, poise and appearance, career preparation, and awareness.
Applications, Rules, Submission Deadlines, and Competition location will be posted on the Southern Province Website.

Guide Right On Campus
The purpose of Guide Right in the Undergraduate Chapter is concerned with methods that serve to improve scholarship, campus involvement and participation, and model Chapter operation.
An orientation program should be established to acquaint members with the following
University Services available to students; loans, scholarships, counseling services, etc.
Requirement of courses
Computer Labs
Career Services
Students in various fields of study with those from whom help might be obtained
In addition, it is important that Undergraduate Chapter maintain a positive image on campus.

Guide Right Committee
An Undergraduate and Alumni Brother are needed from the following regions
Northern Alabama, Central Alabama, Southern Alabama, Florida Panhandle, Northern Florida, Central Florida, South Florida, and the Bahamas
The committee will formally meet at C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference and Southern Provincial Meeting
Provide updates three times a year on the activities of Chapters in your area
Telephonically and electronically communicate on a as need basis.

Kappa Kamp is part of the Piney Woods Country Life School that is led by Brother Dr. Charles H. Beady in Piney Woods, Mississippi.
The Kappa Kamp is a summer enrichment camp for 7th through 12th grade students that strengthens the academic and social skills o participants. Kappa Kampers are exposed to astronomy, meteorology, mathematics, computer concepts, public speaking, entrepreneurship, and swimming.
The cost of the camp is $655. All chapters and provinces are encouraged by the Grand Polemarch Samuel Hamilton to sponsor one student for the 2007 camp that will be held July 2007.

A-MAN, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Brother Hildreth (Hal) and Silhouette Bettye Walker.
The first pilot program at Ralph Bunche Elementary School in Carson, CA was funded by a grant from UCLA.
Currently the A-MAN, Inc Project has a 7,500 sq ft International Science and Discovery Learning Center, an After School Academy, a CISCO Training Academy, and a 6 sites in South Africa.

Uses science and technology as a motivational tool to advance educational achievement.
The primary program purpose is to increase the number of African-American and other minority students who are excited about entering into the fields of Science and Technology. This program combines a multi-faceted informal science educational experience, with a strong link to formal education programs in local schools.
A-MAN seeks to expand it’s program through various alliances. The local, national, and international public and private sector entities also schools, and foundations are called upon. A-MAN’s focused on eliminating the digital divide that separates minority communities from access tools, services, and careers in the information age.

P.A.R. (Parent/Achievers/Role Model)
The program design implements intervention strategies that enhance the academic achievement of students during the nurturing period. Students enter the program as young as 5 years of age and are matched with a Role Model (Mentor). The Role Model joins the parent in providing support to the student. The achiever Role Model and parent become an important trio “PAR” and form a necessary bond.
A-MAN Elements
Parental involvement, positive role models, technology exposure, tutoring/mentoring, economic principles, cultural exposure, study tours/special events.

Program Accomplishments
In March 2004 established 3 sites in Pretoria South Africa and Smithsonian Museum of American History
21 students attended the launch of Astronaut Brother Bernard Harris
Hundreds of scholarships have been awarded to students who have participated in the program
