Digital Planetary Data Recovery • We are currently updating planetary data from various older missions • For Mariner 9 we have re-calibrated the original spectral data using newer solar irradiance data from the SORCE mission • The new Reflectance file has been archived at PDS and is available at LASP • New Google Earth KML software has been written to display these data on Google Mars June 26,12 - KES, p2

Our Mariner 9 Toolhttp://lasp.colorado.edu/home/mariner9/googleMars • LASP software reads the M9 Reflectance and geometry • file and converts it to a Google Earth Mars data layer • using a set of KML files generated for this new analysis • using the kdm-idl code library at • https://code.google.com/kdm-idl • Google Earth then plots KML FOV objects on the Mars • globe allowing direct comparison of the M9 UV data with • the image. Balloons can be selected to display the 2100 • to 3500A Reflectance along with key geometry and time June 26, 2012 - KES, p3
