Our Visit to Techniquest. Air Ball. By Freya Kinsey. The Planetarium. The Planetarium was a spherical building in which they projected The Solar System onto the ceiling. They had the ability to zoom in anywhere! The lady zoomed right in to Jupiter. She also showed us all the constellations.

The Planetarium The Planetarium was a spherical building in which they projected The Solar System onto the ceiling. They had the ability to zoom in anywhere! The lady zoomed right in to Jupiter. She also showed us all the constellations.
There was a small section in Techniquest, where you put your head through a hole and they used strone mirrors to make it look like your head was on a plate. There was another very popular section- the Spirograph! There was a pen attached to an ‘Arm’ and you set the arm swinging to make a picture.
The Crater Demonstration In the Crater Demonstration, they had a large tray of sand and two ping pong balls. They dropped each ball into the tray of sand one by one, each producing a different sized ‘crater’. To show us what happened if you went into space without a space suit, they made a marshmallow man called Arnold and put him in a vacuum. He expanded, then exploded!
