What Are Implied Pot Odds? • Implied pot odds = (current pot + future bets from your opponents) : your bet • Example • Flush draw in free play • Current pot: $0.40 • Bet from your opponent: $0.20 • New pot: $0.60 • Your bet: $0.20 -> Pot odds 3:1 • Odds for your draw: 4:1 • Typical action: fold • Pot to continue playing: $0.80 (4:1 odds) • Assessment of your opponent?

  4. What affects your implied pot odds? • How loose is your opponent? • How much strength is your opponent showing? • How obvious is your hand? • Do you have position on your opponent? • Are you on the flop or turn? • How big are the stacks involved in the hand?
