  2. Pour the batter into the bowl. Smell the ginger! Then you add an egg.

  3. Stir the batter 50 times. One, two, three, four, …

  4. Five, six, seven, eight, nine, …

  5. Ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty! Finished!

  6. Next you shape the batter into a gingerbread man. Finally you decorate the gingerbread man with candies.

  7. You can never add too many candies. He must be baked in the oven until he’s ready to eat, which is what should happen to all gingerbread men.
