What is it? • A type of handwriting where the letters in a word are joined
How do I do it? • After learning each cursive letter, the last piece of each connects to the begging of the next letter in a word
Why do I need to know this? • Not only is cursive neater looking and more professional than printing out letters, it is also quicker and more efficient
When do I use it? • Cursive can be used in essays, letters, invitations or anything else you would like to look nice • It is also great to use when you have to write something down quickly.
Where have I seen this? • Most of the time, people use cursive to sign their signatures • Also, most celebrities use cursive letters to sign their autographs.
How does it work? • Each letter is continued from the letter before it in the same word. • In cursive, you do not pick up your pencil or pen in between letters of the same word. • Most of the letters look a lot like the print you are used to but you may retrace or loop around parts of the letter you have already written to keep from picking up the pencil
