Data CollectionYouth/Women Representation in the Organization • Percentage of employees that are youth/women. • Education qualifications of the youth/women employees. • Whether there is a policy to govern these percentages. • We will request an Organizational structure BPO Critical Success Factors YOUTH AND GENDER ISSUES

Data CollectionYouth/Women in Management • Number of youth in strategic/tactical management of the organization. • Number of women in strategic/tactical management of the organization. • If young people/women employees participate in decision making. • Details of various job titles held by youth/women • Education qualifications of the youth/women employees BPO Critical Success Factors YOUTH AND GENDER ISSUES

Data CollectionRemuneration Information • What the youth/women employees earn. • If the salary scales are based, in any way, on gender/age. • If not, what the salary scales are based on. • Other benefits the youth/women employees are entitled to. • If the benefits are the same for everyone or if gender/age plays a role in determining benefits. Discussion Session • Need to find out the concentration in a narrow BPO sector may affect choice of career/skills • The age bracket as defined by the UN may not work for Kenya – may be 18/20 -35 years • What is the role if any of cyber cafes in the mature markets? Most of such in Kenya are run by young people…this could be exploited positively • An AITEC event coming in November 08 could a could source of information for the research BPO Critical Success Factors YOUTH AND GENDER ISSUES
