  11. 16. Capacity for Trunk VoIP DSP card and activation key provide IP trunk for H.323 and SIP.

  12. 17. Capacity for Extension VoIP DSP card and activation key are required for IP extension.Extension capacity with D-XDP is limited by power supply capacity. Value of Load Figure is different from KX-TDA/TDE because KX-NS is new hardware design.

Compatibility for Telephone You do not need to discardold phones, when you upgrade PBX from Panasonic old PBX to KX-NS500. <Compatible IP Phone>KX-NT265KX-NT3xx / KX-NT5xxKX-UTxxx *) These phones can be connected technically. However since these phones are too old, it is recommended to replace to KX-DT5xx phone.These phones consume more electric power because old design. DHLC port can provide strong power. <No Support>KX-NT136 / KX-NT400 / KX-HGT100KX-TDA0300 and KX-TDA0350 (Application for Digital PT using USB)

Expected waiting time also can be announced using built-in VM. (Same as Queuing order announcement)Optional SD card is required for KX-NS500 to log 300,000 calls. Optional compact flash card is required for KX-NS1000 to log 600,000 calls.Factory built-in compact flash card for KX-NS1000 supports 10,000 calls (for trial).<What is New from CA Supervisor?>- Graphical report, exporting to CSV and so on are supported.- Report for call center agent (extension user in ICD group) is supported.- Application installation is not required for client PC because KX-NS PBX supports this feature using built-in web server. Mobility - Receive a call When your customer calls your office phone number, both phone in office and your cellular phone can ring at the same time.Activation key : KX-NSE1xx is required for xx users. PBX has to detect “answer” of cellular, because PBX has to stop ringing of extension phone when cellular phone answers the call. Mobility - Make a call When you call your customer using cellular phone through PBX (DISA), the phone number of your office is informed to your customer instead of the number of your cellular phone.DID number can be informed as CLIP for SIP / H.323 / ISDN. Phone number of the line is informed to cellular from telephone network for analog. If member cannot answer the call or member is not called because not programmed as member, they can join by PIN through DISA after one or more members answer the call.Extension user can dial PIN directly without DISA. Security with Network Camera Alarm detected by sensor port of KX-NS PBX is e-mailed so that you can access network camera and so on immediately using smart-phone or PC. E-mail Window near meeting room was broken.View camera. http://www.niseko.ne.jp/livecamera/Make a paging call by software phone. Dial *3301. or Office E-mail Server Web KX-NS1000 version 4.1 supports this feature. Both PBX and security camera can be provided by Panasonic.Other major PBX makers do not have security camera. Optional card : KX-NS5162 has to be installed for sensor.One KX-NS5162 supports 2-ch sensor and 2-ch door phone. KX-NS500 with expansion cabinets supports 4 KX-NS5162.

  46. Chapter 5Installation

  47. 51. Location of Installation KX-NS500 and KX-NS520 can be installed on wall or in 19 inch rack. Required equipment is packed. On Wall in 19 inch rack It is required to open a cover in order to install optional cards.And it is required to remove an AC cable to open a cover.Do not turn on power when a cover is opening.

  48. KX-NS 520 KX-NS 520 KX-NS 520 KX-NS 500 52. Connection with Expansion Cabinet KX-NS500 and KX-NS520 can be connected directly with straight LAN cable (CAT5E). Hub is not required. - This LAN cable is not shipped with KX-NS520.- IP protocol is not used. Communication protocol is similar to communication for KX-TDA600 and KX-TDA620.- Length of LAN cable has to be less than 3m because IP protocol is not used and because avoiding trouble by thunder. Building -1 Building -2 KX-NS 500 KX-NS 520 KX-NS500 and KX-NS520 should not be installed in different building.

  49. Internet 53. Programming using PC Programming using PC is available through LAN or modem. Telephone Company CO / PRI / E1 Dealer’s Office Customer’s Office PortFwd KX-NS 500 LAN Modem LAN Router Analog modem is available with KX-TDA0196.ISDN 64k digital modem is available through PRI card of KX-NS500 without KX-TDA0196. Port forwarding is required for router to connect through LAN from remote location.Port number is 80.

  50. EasyProgram 54. Programming through USB Independent maintenance port like KX-NS1000 is NOT supported.However KX-NS500 USB port with external adapter works as independent maintenance port.KX-NS500 with adapter supports DHCP server function by defaultlike KX-NS1000. KX-NS 500 USB LAN Adapter 223.0.0.1 223.0.0.15 LAN 192.168.0.101 (default) Port mirroring is not supported. Following adapters were tested with KX-NS PBX. These are using same component. AX88772 by ASIX USB to Giga Bit LAN adapter is NOT supported.
