This project aims to enhance student satisfaction, engagement, and success by providing a seamless online university experience. The implementation includes a new integrated VLE, staff training, and an enhanced student portal with personalized features.

New, integrated VLE | policies • Moodle areas created automatically from QLS • every Unit Occurrence; every Programme; every Faculty; • university-wide Student Support Area; and • on request Departmental Areas • Core Moodle toolset • Threshold standards for Programme and Unit Areas: • information from QLS on Unit details, leader + hand-ins • information from Scientia on Unit timetable • information from Aspire on Unit reading list • normally organised as weekly teaching schedule • Moodle User Group
New, integrated VLE | timeframe WebCT (VLE 10/11) Moodle (VLE 11/12) • Jul 2010 WebCT areas created for 2010/11 • Aug 2010 Moodle policy agreed; hosting contracts signed • Sep 2010 Moodle integrated with MMU systems • Oct 2010 Moodle areas created for Jan 2011+ starters • Jan 2011 Moodle available for Jan 2011+ starters • Mar 2011 Moodle areas created for all Units & Progs • Aug 2011 WebCT switched off • Sep 2011 Moodle available to all students
