High – Lou Review Game How to Play On the board you will see a definition and two boxes that contain possible answers. If the box on the top contains the correct answer, stand on your seat. If the bottom box contains your answer, sit on the back of your chair. When your teacher tells you to “reset” sit back in your seat like you normally would.

The following are handouts and activities I use to get the kids up and talking about their vocabulary words. • * The handout with the word list can be used prior to the High/Low activity to build some background. • -I have a bunch of clear clip badges that I use to clip them on to their backs. If you don’t have these, you can use index cards and yarn to hang them on their backs. • Have the students find who matches their word or definition. They come to me and I tell them if they are a match or not. • They then work as pairs to complete the missing information in the handout. • Once they are finished they are to sit quietly with their partner until everyone is finished. We then go over the answers on slide 22 of the PowerPoint. • *If you have a smaller class you can only have the answers on individuals backs and allow them to work in pairs to complete their handout. • *The handouts with the definitions can be completed during the High/Low activity. (Be sure to collect them before you start sorting activity.) • I hope you enjoy this lesson and please let me know if you have any problems or concerns. You can email me at ibteachnu@gmail.com
