How Does the Network Help? • The Network exists across Connecticut serving 6 regions. • The CTFSN is the family support organization for the CT Medical Home Initiative providing support to families and professionals. • We have 10 staff that do specialty coordination related to; • Early Dental Care • Medical Home • Transition • Autism Spectrum Disorder • Deaf/Hard of Hearing
CTFSN Support Groups and Trainings • 21 support groups held across the state each month. • Annual Trainings include but not limited to; • Toilet Training • One Voice Conference • Summer Camps/Recreational Programs Training • Support Groups include but not limited to; • Caring for the Caregiver • Spanish Speaking • Dad’s Night Out • Autism Specific Groups • Apraxia Support Group • Open Play/Support
Reporting • Reports are submitted to the CT Department of Public Health. • Data Includes Quantitative and Qualitative Information for Jan – March 2013: • 31 Support Groups (380 Participants) • 3 ASD-Specific • 9 Open Play/Support Groups • 2 ApraxiaGroups • 1 Dad’s Night Out Group • 186 Autism Related Contacts (e.g., One on One Support, Summer Camp, Support Group/Training, Behavioral Workshop) • 39 Deaf/Hard of Hearing Related Contacts • 23 Resource Fairs, Trainings, Conferences and Meetings that were Sponsored by or Attended by CTFSN Staff with 581 Attendees at these Events • 8 Early Dental Care Related Contacts
