LIBRARY • an organization which provides information resources PRINT – books, magazines, newspapers journals, manuals, vertical files etc. NON-PRINT – internet, computers, CD- ROMs, video tapes etc.

JLibro Library SystemOnline Public Access Catalog Procedures: • Students must register their ID barcode and details in the system ( library entrance) • The students shall use their ID upon entering the library and borrowing of books. • Input of data and bar-coding is now ongoing in the Searching Area but students may have access to some books.
What are the rules and regulations to follow? RULES AND REGULATIONS • All students “must have their library card” upon entering the library. • Library card is non-transferable.
“NO LIBRARY CARD, NO ENTRY” • Reference books, magazines and newspapers are strictly for room use only • General education, maritime books, fiction books can be taken out of the library. (PHOTOCOPY AND OVERNIGHT PURPOSES)
Bringing of books in your classes is prohibited • OBSERVE SILENCE • Put your cellular phones on silent mode while inside the library premises
Eating and sleeping and talking very loud is strictly prohibited • Ask the librarian for some clarifications and questions.
How can I borrow library materials? • LENDING PROCEDURES • Present your library card to the librarian for checking
Search the books on the books shelves • Present the book to the librarian for checking. • Fill up the book cards and attach to your library card. • Upon returning, present the books borrowed to the librarian assigned.

What is the penalty if …..? • UNRETURNED BOOKS Maritime books ----- P2.00/hr. General Education books ---- P1.00/ hr. Fiction Books ----- P0.50/day
LOST BOOKS - payment of the price of the book - replacement of the book itself or equivalent of its subject content - no signing of clearances unless the accountability was settled
What are the library services? LIBRARY HOURS 7:00 AM - 6:00pm Monday – Friday No Noon break
