All The Shades In Between: A Guide For Contemporary Home Interior Design<br>To the casual observer, the universe of window treatments is a little confusing. And it is true that world of contemporary home interior design can be a little baffling in this respect. Some things, which may be strictly classified as shades, are actually sometimes also called ‘blinds’. For example, Roman shades can also be called Roman blinds. If we were to classify them exactly though, we would usually place them in the shades category. <br>This is because they are regarded as being a ‘soft’ window treatment, which are not constructed from slats, which have gaps in between them. On the whole, anything that is referred to as being a ‘shade’ is usually a soft design and constructed from some sort of fabric. Although, not always! As we said, the world of shades and blinds is kind of confusing! So we will hope to clarify the issue somewhat, in this outline...
