  2. General Areas of Study 1). Logic: The study of sound thinking & good argumentation 2). Epistemology: The study of knowledge/truth 3). Philosophy of Religion: Study of religion and the nature & existence of God 4). Ethics: The study of the nature of good and bad behavior. Examining the Good Life. 5). Political Philosophy: Study of the foundations of society and government. 6). Metaphysics: The study of Reality & the ultimate nature of existence. 7). Aesthetics: The study of the nature Art and Beauty

  3. Other Areas of Study 1). Freedom: What is freedom & how is it necessary for the good life. 2). Nature of Reality: What is real? How does one determine reality from dreaming? 3). Search for Truth: What is True? How does one know truth/falsity? 4). Discourses in Difference: Examining issues of Race/Class/Gender/Sexuality 5). The First Philosophers: A Historical study of the earliest philosophers known. 6). Transcendentalism & Existentialism: Defining and examining two opposing philosophies.

  4. Other Areas of Study 1). Freedom: What is freedom & how is it necessary for the good life. 2). Nature of Reality: What is real? How does one determine reality from dreaming? 3). Search for Truth: What is True? How does one know truth/falsity? 4). Discourses in Difference: Examining issues of Race/Class/Gender/Sexuality 5). The First Philosophers: A Historical study of the earliest philosophers known. 6). Transcendentalism & Existentialism: Defining and examining two opposing philosophies.

  5. Specific Areas of Study:These may only take 1 week of examination Objectivism: Ayn Rand’s theory of the best method of coping with reality Chaos Theory: A glimpse into the world of Disorder and the underlying order that may exist.
