Objectives of this Briefing • To raise awareness on key challenges • To promote exchange of information and expertise • To feed in the debate by bringing various perspectives

Abdou Abarry, Ambassador of Niger Panel 1: Aid targets and donor support This session will review the key challenges for financing the agricultural sector and the major assistance mechanisms at global and EU level in support of the agricultural sector in ACP countries and the achievements realized so far.
Chair: M. Ishmael Sunga, CEO, SACAU Panel 2:Beyond Aid: new financing mechanisms This panel will explore the potential for new or improved financing sources as well as the opportunity for new innovative sources of financing the agricultural sector.

Target group 200 ACP-EU policy makers, representatives of EU and ACP Member States, European Parliament, civil society groups, researchers and development practitioners, international organisations based in Brussels and some ACP researchers and farmers coming from ACP countries.
